Improving Air Quality in our Borough

Holland Park

Since 2018 Kensington & Chelsea Council has cut carbon emissions faster than any other London borough.

Now our Council’s new Green Fund will help us go further. RBKC will help fund ambitious green schemes to improve air quality in our borough with £1 million over the next 12 months.

RBKC will invest in new green spaces, plant more trees and install more electric vehicle chargers, as well as promoting bigger schemes to retrofit domestic and commercial buildings, which account for more than 80 per cent of borough emissions. Our bee superhighway will also increase biodiversity across the borough.
