Please join us for an evening in Chelsea Riverside with British financier and entrepreneur Mark Florman. Mark will be exploring the topic of "The Next 30 Years: the Future of the Conservatives".
Mark Florman is CEO and founder of Time Partners, which was was formed in 2013 as a specialist merchant banking firm combining best advice, creative solutions and a client first philosophy. Time Partners advises investors, families, and other asset owners on thinking long-term, providing strategic advice across a range of issues and are an experienced adviser on impact investing with a long history of pioneering positive change in the investment industry and wider society.
Mark has had an active political life for over 30 years. He was the senior deputy treasurer of the Conservative Party from 2003-2008 and variously co-founder of: Women to Win, the Centre for Social Justice (where he was Chairman from 2010-2018), the Early Intervention Foundation and the Centre for Economic Recovery. He has supported over 50 candidates for Parliament.
As well as multiple policy initiatives and campaigns over the years, Mark has advised No.10 on Africa as well as leading the British Venture Capital Association, working on policies to encourage entrepreneurship and investment. He is currently working on plans for a UK sovereign wealth fund.
He was Governor for England at the BBC from 2015 to 2017, on the board of the Home Office from 2018 to 2020, and has led a number of public reviews on best practice and good governance. He is a Visiting Fellow at INSEAD, speaking on the key trends facing the world to 2050 and beyond.
