Bonfire Night Preview: Up Close & Personal with Andrew Griffith MP
Shadow Secretary of State for Business & Trade – Not your typical politician
Why you won’t want to miss this evening:
Join us for an exclusive opportunity to hear from Andrew Griffith MP, one of the Conservative Party’s rising stars. This is your chance to listen, ask questions, and discuss the issues that matter most—over a relaxed glass of wine and canapés with fellow Conservatives.
With over 25 years in business before entering politics, Andrew became the youngest Chief Financial Officer in the FTSE 100 and later COO at Sky, helping grow its customer base from 3 million to 30 million. He went on to serve as Non-Executive Director, then Interim Chairman at Just Eat, earning The Sunday Times’ Non-Executive Director of the Year award in 2018. Known for his sharp leadership and results-driven approach, Andrew brings a wealth of real-world experience to politics.
In 2019, he became Boris Johnson’s Chief Business Adviser at No. 10 before being elected to Parliament. Since then, he has held key positions in the Treasury, Science & Innovation, and Trade, and in November 2024 was appointed Shadow Secretary of State for Business & Trade. Beyond politics, Andrew champions environmental and cultural causes—chairing the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Dark Skies and leading the Wine of Great Britain APPG. His contributions to the financial sector earned him the honour of Freeman of the City of London.
