Katie arrived in Parliament with a formidable CV. Before becoming an MP, she worked for Goldman Sachs and as a Special Advisor across government, including in Number 10 as Deputy Chief of Staff. She brings the rare combination of Westminster experience, intellectual firepower and real political courage.
In the Commons, Katie has already shown why so many Conservatives see her as a rising star of the Party. Her powerful speeches on grooming gangs have cut through because they are direct, fearless and rooted in a determination to secure justice for victims and hold failing institutions to account.
It is no surprise that Katie is already being talked about as one of the future leaders of the Conservative Party. She is currently listed by the bookies as the second favourite to be the next Conservative leader, ahead of many more established figures in the parliamentary party.
