RBKC Conservatives Launch Manifesto to Keep Kensington and Chelsea Efficient, Clean and Low-Tax

RBKC manifesto launch

Council Leader Cllr Elizabeth Campbell, and Party Leader Kemi Badenoch MP, today launched our manifesto for the 7 May 2026 Council elections in Kensington and Chelsea, setting out a clear plan to protect the borough’s position as one of Britain’s most efficient and well-run councils.

Backed by a recent independent Impower study, which ranked Kensington and Chelsea as the most efficient council in the country, the manifesto highlights our strong record of delivering high-quality services while keeping costs low for residents.

This includes our twice-weekly bin collections — the only borough in London to offer this — alongside a boroughwide residential parking permit, top-rated adult and children’s social care, and the improvements to our iconic public spaces such as Holland Park, Sloane Square and Portobello Road.

Despite significant financial pressures, including a £108 million reduction in funding from central government and the ongoing recovery from a serious cyber-attack, Kensington and Chelsea residents continue to benefit from one of the lowest Council Tax rates in the country.

Looking ahead, the Conservatives’ plan is built on four core principles: clean and safe streets, value for money, getting the basics right, and making everyday life easier for residents.

This May's elections are expected to be closely contested between the Conservatives and Labour.

Voters are being urged to support our Conservative team on 7 May to ensure stability, efficiency, and continued delivery for local residents.
